Shurfa #3, #4, dan #5.*GULP*. I'm next in line.
So anyway...
My cooking may taste like burnt poop (or not taste of anything at all!) and I'm not exactly the best at cleaning and tidying up rooms, but -- get ready for this -- this undomestic clutz can sew!
My messy Creativity Desk.During my final sem in UM, I had to sew a lot of stuff for our drama production, and while I was armed with only the basic knowledge on how to operate my mama's sewing machine and darn needles, I managed to create an 18 feet long backdrop (or was it 18 meters? All I remember is sewing something so long, I felt like it would never end!), various screens and little coin pouches. And when I was done with all that, I felt a great sense of accomplishment. Because I thought I was useless at doing anything useful. Hehe.
Since I have no more classes to go to, and a full-time job isn't what I'm looking for as I'll be doing my Masters, insyaallah, in July, I've been occupied with creating things. I've recorded a bunch of crappy songs, helped around in the kitchen, and let loose the seamstress in me. :B
And here's what I've created!
It's a shirred top which fits both me and my skinny 13 year old sister Aida even though my own measurements were used. And I'm like 10 times meatier than Aida. Shirred tops are so the shiz.
But Aida wanted one of her own so I'm in the process of making one for her. Here's the work in progress.
So that's pretty much all I wanted to share with you today. I'm just pretty chuffed at what I've managed to create. :D I might attempt to make sexy boxers next, and maybe even a mini dress for Umairah. Hee! Sewing is so addictive.

I know this is really stranger coming from a total...stranger, but I don't suppose you could make me something like that shirred top? I would so so so gladly pay you, of course!:D But feel free to decline if you can't!
Btw I'm doing my Masters too, but next sem'll be my third :D I don't suppose we've ever run into each other?

Make away by all means...! =P! I'm ok with any colour... But these tops are always fab with awesome prints! And i know you have good taste in prints, hanging around with you at the moof section of mph, so i trust you... =p!
I've met Kak Amnah once. But I'm sure she doesn't remember me. Mdm Azimah took her to our play (at Matric UIA PJ) some years ago.

Oooh Mona. I could sew somethings for you actually... But it feels weird having people pay me for these tops. My sewing is soooo crap. All wonky. But I'm trying to improve. Once I'm confident with my skills, I'll let you know! :) Let me make one for Steph first and see how that turns out! lol.
Trini, which play was it? I've actually been to a few UIA matric productions. Sempat watch some students rehearse lagi. There was the Trufaldino rehearsal I went to once... Were you in that one by any chance? ;)

one thing about those tops though. you gotta make sure no one pulls down on it. stay away from little children who like to tug.

Haha, Steph. Okay, I'll just guess your bust measurements. Don't be mad if the top ends up too tight... and if it ends up too big, think of it as a compliment. Lol.
Lol, i think you told me i had huge boobs! And i always thought i was flat. ok, enough about boobs on a public platform... =P I'm an S in general. With shirred tops too, if you need a rough idea to go by.

Kak Aisya..unfortunately no..I was on my first sem when they performed Trufaldino at AMF, way too new and have no interest in theatrical performance yet.

Aw... I miss watching you UIA students punya plays... Always entertaining. But sometimes not... Like that Alice in Wonderland play I watched. I think I fell asleep watching that one. Lol... :B
